“She Knew The Script”: Barstool Sports Reporter Validates Taylor Swift’s Ill-Timed Celebration With Knicks Down 22 Points After Comeback Win

As the New York Knicks started to cut down a monumental deficit in the second half of Game 4, pop star Taylor Swift was seen doing a jig with the Haim sisters at courtside. This clip went viral as netizen piled on Swift for celebrating prematurely.

Seeing netizens come after the “Blank Space” singer for her supposedly ill-timed merrymaking, Barstool Sports reporter Jack Mac came to Swift’s defense. Mac pointed out that, in the grand scheme of things, Swift’s optimism was well justified.

“You gotta give credit where credit is due…she believed when no one else did. She knew the script.”

The “script,” of course, is the Knicks’ triumphant comeback from a 29-point lead to pull off a 107-106 win over the Spurs. Sure enough, with the Knicks having secured a 3-1 series lead, Swift was overjoyed with glee after the final buzzer.

The rest of the Knicks fanbase was also ecstatic to see the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history. Though the Spurs threatened to spoil the feel-good story inside MSG by taking the lead in the dying moments, OG Anunoby came to the rescue by scoring on a tip-in to give the Knicks the lead for good.

Anunoby finished with 33 points on 10-for-15 shooting from the field, right behind Jalen Brunson’s 36-point performance.

“She’s Not a Knicks Fan”: Monica McNutt Caught on Hot Mic Casting Doubt on Taylor Swift’s Support for Knicks

Aside from her “premature” celebration, Taylor Swift was criticized for her supposedly questionable loyalty to the Knicks.

Analyst Monica McNutt, who works as a Knicks radio analyst, was caught on a hot mic casting serious doubt on the singer’s fandom.

“Is that Taylor Swift down there?…She’s not a Knicks fan. Get out of here, girl.”

It’s worth pointing out that, as far back as the mid-2010s, Swift had already professed her support for the Knicks, calling All-Star forward Amar’e Stoudemire “so cool” in a TIME magazine interview.
