Peyton Watson’s Girlfriend Jodie Woods Sends Emotional Message to Anthony Edwards’ Partner Ahead of Game 4

Peyton Watson and Anthony Edwards are on opposite ends as their respective teams square off in the first round of the playoffs. Despite this, their romantic partners are apparently getting chummy with each other.

On Friday, Watson’s girlfriend Jodie Woods posted an Instagram story that showed her sitting next to Shannon Jackson, Anthony Edwards’ partner, as they watched Game 3 the night before.

“#noigshan,” Woods wrote in the caption for the IG story. “missed my girllll”

Woods and Jackson apparently have a friendly relationship, but friendship is likely the furthest thing on the minds of Peyton Watson and Anthony Edwards as Game 4 approaches. While Watson’s Nuggets had homecourt advantage heading into this no. 3 vs. no. 6 matchup, Edwards and his Minnesota squad have flipped the script, taking a 2-1 series lead.

Though the Nuggets opened the series with a resounding 116-105 victory in Game 1, the Timberwolves have since imposed their will, tying the series with a 119-114 Game 2 win in the Mile High. That night, Edwards led the Wolves with 30 points and 10 rebounds.

When the series shifted to Target Center on Thursday, the Wolves capitalized on Aaron Gordon’s absence and significantly limited the Nuggets’ production. In their 113-96 blowout victory, Ayo Dosunmu went off with 25 points off the bench while Edwards chipped in 17 points, five rebounds, and three assists.

Watson, meanwhile, has yet to suit up in the playoffs as he deals with a hamstring injury. His 3-and-D contributions could certainly give the Nuggets a boost at this point.

Viral Clip Shows Peyton Watson Doing Some Court Work Prior to Game 3

For those who are wondering about Peyton Watson’s recovery, a viral clip posted by ESPN’s Anthony Slater offers some hope that he can join the Nuggets’ lineup in the first round.

In the clip from the Nuggets’ shootaround prior to Game 3, Watson gets some court work done, showing good mobility as he does so.

Slater went on to call Watson a “swing factor,” likely because of his contributions to Denver’s perimeter defense.
