One Month After Denying Dating Rumors, Michael Porter Jr. Spotted With Ice Spice at 1v1 Basketball Event

Michael Porter Jr. and Ice Spice have been spotted together again, a month after the Brooklyn Nets forward denied rumors of the two dating. The pair have been linked since November.

Porter featured on the Emily Austin Show in March. During his appearance, the host questioned him about his relationship with Ice Spice. Porter addressed the speculation in his answer.

“No, she’s a homie, yeah. We met at some event, and she’s a homie and an amazing person, obviously a very talented person, great person,” Porter Jr. said.

A month later, Porter Jr. and the four-time Grammy-nominated artist have been spotted spending time together. X account @BucketHatKeion shared a picture from a basketball event on Sunday, claiming to be in the same building as Porter Jr. and Ice Spice.

The picture shared by the account shows Gymnast Suni Lee sitting next to Porter Jr. and the rapper. While Porter Jr. has denied the rumors of him dating Ice Spice, the rapper has yet to publicly acknowledge the speculation from fans.

Michael Porter Jr. on leading the Brooklyn Nets to the playoffs next season

Porter Jr. made the playoffs with the Denver Nuggets for the first six seasons of his career. So, missing the playoffs during the 2025-26 season with the Brooklyn Nets did not align with the forward’s goals.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated on April 23, Porter outlined next season’s expectations for the Nets, saying that he wants to lead them to the playoffs.

“I think that not making the playoffs, it is tough, but I’ve been blessed to play that high-level basketball and that meaningful basketball going forward,” Porter said. “So I think going forward, helping these young guys understand how to win and want to be in the playoffs, telling them how different it is in the playoffs and giving them that motivation that we don’t want to be in this position again. This was a one-year thing, and hopefully by next year, we’re ready to compete at a high level and be a playoff team.”

Porter Jr. is coming off the best season of his career, averaging a career-high 24.2 points along with 8.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game, shooting 46.3%, including 36.3% from 3-point range.

He last played in March before being ruled out for the season with a hamstring injury. The Nets finished as the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 20-62 record.
