The LA Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers close their season series on Friday at the Crypto.com Arena. The Clippers lead the series 2-1. They won the last two consecutive games – by 103-88 on Dec. 20 and by 112-104 on Jan. 22. The Lakers, however, were shorthanded on both occasions.
Ahead of Friday’s rematch, they are the healthiest they have been this season, entering this contest with a clean injury report. Austin Reaves won’t be on a minute restriction, either, while Luka Doncic will return after a four-game absence. They also have a rest advantage as the Clippers are coming off a back-to-back and playing on the Lakers’ homecourt.
Nevertheless, the Clippers won the last game against the Denver Nuggets 115-114 on Thursday. With their new-look roster, they can outmatch the Lakers with pace and physicality. Kawhi Leonard is also in terrific shape and form. He’s scored 56 points combined in the Clippers’ last two games against the Lakers.
The oddsmakers favor the Los Angeles Lakers, though. The Purple and Gold are 7.5-point favorites to tie the season series against the LA Clippers.
