For the first time ever, Jordyn Woods will get to see her fiancé Karl-Anthony Towns playing an NBA Finals game inside Madison Square Garden. However, she and the rest of the Knicks fanbase will have to deal with stringent security measures, as U.S. President Donald Trump will be in attendance for Game 3.
These measures include a no-bag policy, which poses a challenge for Woods and the supposedly “lucky purse” that she is fond of bringing to Knicks games. In an Instagram clip posted on Monday, Woods claimed to have found a workaround for this policy set by MSG.
“I might have just done the ultimate girl boss thing and turned my bag into a shoe for the day. I’m gonna see if I can find a way to get Karl to get the bag in, but if not, we have some shoes. Happy game day!”
In the comments section for this clip, the account for Woods by Jordyn (a line of statement pieces owned by KAT’s significant other) claimed that those were “lucky shoes” for the Knicks center.
With their team up 2-0 in the series, Towns and his crew will pull out all the stops to send the San Antonio Spurs to the brink of a Finals sweep. Across the first two games, KAT is averaging 19.5 ppg, 12.5 rpg, and 4.0 apg while also holding his own against Victor Wembanyama on the defensive end.
In just his second season with the Knicks, Towns has emerged as an anchor on both ends of the floor, helping spread the floor to give Jalen Brunson more space to operate.
“She Knows Ball Now”: Karl-Anthony Towns Flexes Jordyn Woods’ Knowledge of the Sport
Earlier in the playoffs, Karl-Anthony Towns touted Jordyn Woods’ love of basketball, saying that she has already become familiar with intricacies of the game.
“She loves watching basketball a lot…She knows ball now, after all these years together. She’s talking about flex screens, UCLA cuts, stuff like that.”
The six-time NBA All-Star added that Woods continues to watch basketball even when he himself is not thinking about it.
