Jalen Brunson Clueless On Clutch Blunder Leading to Knicks’ Shocking Loss in Game 3

Jalen Brunson’s latest statement perfectly sums up every New York Knicks fan right now! The Atlanta Hawks have pulled off a shocker in Game 3 to take the lead in Round 2, 2-1. After losing a close second game, Game 3 again came down to the wire, but the Hawks’ smothering defense stood up tall at their home in State Farm Arena.

Both teams were shooting the ball well in the final couple of minutes when CJ McCollum drained a stunner with 12.5 seconds remaining on the clock. However, when it was the Knicks’ chance, Dyson Daniels, Jonathan Kuminga, and Onyeka Okongwu did a good job on Brunson and got the ball out of his hands. That steal sealed the game for the home team.

After the game, Brunson was asked how he felt about losing in the final seconds and what happened in the last possession. The Knicks guard said:

    “I don’t know. I wish I had a better answer for you.”

It will indeed be a difficult task to come out of the series alive at this point, but the Knicks are known for their grit. Mikal Bridges’ shooting woes would haunt the team next time they take the floor. He could not get on the board after attempting three field goals.

OG Anunoby had a massive impact in the clutch, as he shot two crucial three-pointers to give the Knicks a lead. He scored 29 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks, but the team fell short in the end. Jalen Brunson was visibly dejected in the post-game session.

“Not good enough,” Jalen Brunson admits lack of effort on offensive end

When Jalen Brunson, who scored 26 points and four assists, was asked how he felt about his offensive performance in Game 3, he kept his head low and seemed dejected with the loss. He responded:

    “Not good enough.”

When asked what he felt he could have done better in the last possessions, Brunson said:

    “Everything.”

The Knicks will now gear up for Game 4 in front of the same crowd. The Hawks, even though ranked below the Knicks (7th) in 11th place, have shown a different side to their defensive side. The Knicks will have to gear up and win the next game to tie the series once again. A loss can completely derail their chances this season.
