He was seen putting up shots before ultimately being ruled out. It appears the 76ers are taking a day-by-day approach regarding his status. He is expected to suit up against the Grizzlies, barring any last-minute setbacks.
Edgecombe took a hard fall near the 3-point line after being tripped by Carter Bryant of the Spurs during last week’s 131-91 loss. He left the game and did not return.
The Bahamian native has played in 57 of Phllies’ 64 games this season. He is averaging 15.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.
With Tyrese Maxey out with a right finger sprain, Joel Embiid still recovering from an oblique injury and Paul George out with a suspension, Edgecombe’s presence against the Grizzlies will be critical if he gets the nod to start. He is one player their defense may not have an answer for. The versatile wing could cause trouble for the Western Conference team, which enters the clash riding a four-game losing streak.
