Seattle Storm guard Lexie Brown was dragged by fans in the controversial breakup between Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion. The Grammy winner accused the Dallas Mavericks star of cheating on her, forcing her to end the relationship on Saturday. Brown was allegedly the third wheel who led the former couple to Splitsville.
On Sunday, Brown pushed back on the narratives with a story on Instagram. She wrote:
“I’ve seen what’s being said online, and I want to be clear, none of it is true, and I have no involvement in this situation.
“This week marks the start of an important and exciting new season for me, and my focus is fully on that.”

Early on Saturday, Megan Thee Stallion wrote a cryptic message on IG:
“Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house… got “cold feet.
“Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season, now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous????’”
Hours later, the “Plan B” hitmaker confirmed on TMZ, via her agent, that she had ended the relationship. The artist said in her statement that “trust, fidelity and respect” were values that were compromised.
Fans noted that Klay Thompson unfollowed Lexie Brown after Megan Thee Stallion’s accusations. Brown has also made her social media accounts private, which some have pointed out already had that status before the controversial split.
Brown is training with the Storm for the 2026 WNBA season while Thompson is enjoying his vacation after a 2025-26 campaign with the Mavericks.
Megan Thee Stallion Cried on Stage After Announcing Klay Thompson Split
Saturday was a heavy day for Megan Thee Stallion. After confirming the split with Klay Thompson, she continued to perform her role as Zidler in the musical “Moulin Rouge!”
During the cast presentation, Thompson’s former girlfriend couldn’t hold back her tears. After some tense moments as the fans appreciated her performance, the artist composed herself to acknowledge the cheers with aplomb.
Thompson and the rapper made their red carpet debut in July. They were all smiles as they announced their relationship. Roughly nine months later, they are no longer an item.
