Kyrie Irving’s presence is an elite addition to any offense in the league. However, teams have to deal with his antics off the court as well. The same has now happened with the Dallas Mavericks, as their star guard’s recent display picture on X has led to several questions among fans.
Irving allegedly uploaded a picture of a Palestinian kid with a book in his hand, looking behind at Israeli soldiers with guns. The image seemed to be a message that caused uproar among fans, as one believed that Irving might be traded for sharing such politically charged posts on social media. The user wrote:
“He getting traded soon”
The 2016 NBA champion did not play a single game this season after he suffered a torn ACL in his left knee. He is still rehabilitating, and the Mavs hope him to be ready for a title contention next season, besides franchise face Cooper Flagg. In a short span, the comment section was filled with political remarks.
One user shared their opinion about the image and wrote:
“Actually the journalist is Israeli Russian. It shows what life is like under apartheid”
Another believed that he might get fired for this:
“He about to get fired by Israel. He doesn’t think much how ISRAEL control US now”
One more user commented on the same line and wrote:
“Miriam Adelson owns the Mavericks. Kyrie gonna get traded.”
A few fans even praised Irving for his actions, as one wrote:
“So he’s a man of conscience. That’s great to know.”

Irving will hopefully be healthy and in form to lead the Mavericks to a title in the coming seasons. After the rebuild, he is the only veteran the team has who can handle the responsibility.
Can Kyrie Irving also get traded?
Kyrie Irving has been the cornerstone of the Dallas Mavericks for a long time now. The team’s management decided to trade almost every big star except Irving, showing their trust in the veteran guard. However, reports have emerged that some teams, such as the Minnesota Timberwolves, have expressed interest in acquiring Kyrie Irving.
However, given the team’s decisions, it looks like they might not entertain offers for Irving. Meanwhile, they will need an efficient offense facilitator for next season if they aim to make a title run.
