“One More Incident Away From Being Banned in NASCAR”: Fans Mock Michael Jordan After He Chokes and Kisses Denny Hamlin

If there is one thing that can be said for sure about Michael Jordan, it has to be his need to be a competitor in everything. After retiring from the league, the legend carried that same mentality into the NASCAR world with his racing team, 23XI Racing. However, sometimes that energy can become a reason for trolling on social media.

In the NASCAR race, the AdventHealth 400, Tyler Reddick of 23XI Racing registered his fifth win of the season in the first nine races. The co-owners, Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin, were visibly happy after the outcome, as was seen in a viral video. The 6-time NBA champion was seen choking and kissing his co-owner. A user shared and wrote:

“Dawg Michael Jordan just one more incident away from being banned from NASCAR”

Fans took to the comment section to make fun of Jordan’s antics and remarked on Hamlin’s seemingly shocked expression. One wrote:

“White dude is mentally scarred… wonder why.”

Another user suggested what Hamlin would have thought in that situation and wrote:

Michael Jordan’s presence has been a boon for the NASCAR world, as the sport has seen an increased influx of viewers. Those are the only times the Chicago Bulls legend is seen in public, and fans love to watch him engaging with motorsports.

Tyler Reddick won the race for Michael Jordan’s 23XI Racing team in the AdventHEALTH 400, but the 5-time NBA MVP wanted his co-owner, Denny Hamlin, who also races for Joe Gibbs Racing, to win the race. He said:

“Look, I’m racing against Denny. I really wanted to beat him because I know we’re going to talk a lot of trash a little bit later. It was a good race. When we started to run out of fuel, I didn’t know what was happening.”

Against the wishes of Michael Jordan, Hamlin finished the race in fourth place. After years of racing in the Cup Series, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver still searches for his first title.
