The LA Lakers will begin a two-game homestand with a clash against the Atlanta Hawks. Tuesday’s clash at the Crypto.com Arena is the final meeting between the teams during the 2025-2026 campaign, with the Hawks leading the regular-season series 1-0.
The Hawks-Lakers clash is set to tip off at 10:30 p.m. ET (7:30 p.m. PT). The live telecast will be available on Spectrum Sportsnet. Fans can watch the contest via livestream on NBA League Pass and Fubo TV (restrictions may apply).

Hawks vs Lakers Preview and Prediction
The LA Lakers have put together an impressive season so far, spending much of the year firmly among the top three teams in the Western Conference. However, that momentum has stalled recently, as they find themselves in the middle of their roughest stretch of the season with three straight losses. As a result of this skid, the Purple & Gold have slipped to fifth in the conference standings, sitting at 23-14.
The Atlanta Hawks, on the other hand, closed out 2025 on a sour note, dropping seven consecutive games between Dec. 18 and Dec. 29. Since the start of 2026, however, the Hawks have become one of the more entertaining teams to follow. They were part of a blockbuster trade that sent Trae Young to the Washington Wizards in exchange for CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert. Additionally, they even boast a 3-0 record since the trade, improving to 20-21.
The first meeting between the Hawks and Lakers this season, played on Nov. 8, witnessed a shock. Despite missing key contributors such as Young (who was still part of the roster then), Jalen Johnson, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker, the Hawks cruised to a 122-102 victory. With so many rotational players absent, Mouhamed Gueye stepped up and led the team in scoring with 21 points.
Despite the contrast in recent form, the Lakers are expected to respond with urgency. They have yet to lose four straight games this season and will be motivated to make sure that streak remains intact. Meanwhile, Atlanta’s most recent matchup against the Golden State Warriors suggested that McCollum and Kispert are still adjusting and have not fully settled into their roles with the team.
Prediction: Expect the Lakers to win by five points.
