Suns vs Heat Preview and Prediction
The Phoenix Suns have come out strong to start the new year, dropping just one game over their last six. That stretch has pushed them to a 24-15 record and up to sixth place in the Western Conference standings.
Devin Booker is largely responsible for Phoenix’s recent success. Over those six games, he has averaged 24.2 points while shooting 46.2% from the field, along with 2.5 rebounds and 6.8 assists per night.
On the other hand, Miami’s recent trend has been a lot more uneven. The Heat closed out 2025 on a high note by winning their final three games and carried that momentum into the new year with a 118-112 win over the Detroit Pistons on Jan. 1.
Since then, however, things have not looked the same. Miami has gone 1-4 in its last five games, including a three-game losing streak, and has slipped to eighth place in the Eastern Conference with a 20-19 record.
With key players like Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, Andrew Wiggins and Norman Powell healthy, and a strong 13-6 record at home, Miami should have a slight edge in Tuesday’s clash against the Suns. However, given how well Phoenix has been playing as of late, this matchup can be expected to be an action-packed thriller that goes down to the wire.
Prediction: Expect the Heat to win by three points.
