As Brandon Ingram’s partner, GloRilla, prepares to feature in the anticipated NBA All-Star celebrity game, the Memphis-based rapper has been involved in family matters on social media. Her sister, Scar Face, born Victoria Woods, called out her popular sibling and blamed her for allegedly not providing for their family. The Ruffles All-Star celebrity game will be held on February 13 at Kia Forum.
What happened between GloRilla and Victoria Woods?
It all started when Victoria, in a conversation with TMZ, alleged that the rapper owed money to the family after she became famous due to her musical talents. Claiming that she just asked for $2500, Victoria said:
“She got an obligation to share the wealth… Don’t go on interviews talking about our struggles.”
Over the years, the rapper has publicly expressed her feelings about her relationship with her family, how she helped her loved ones, the place she came from, and the time she spent with her loved ones. However, Scar Face’s allegations have painted a very different picture.
GloRilla has also shared her response to the entire feud on Facebook. In a video posted on social media, the rapper said:
“I ain’t gone talk about half the stuff you did, just leave it alone,” Glo said. “You doing you right now, keep doing you, [but] keep my family out of it, [and] keep me out of it…My people [that] I f—k wit, they straight.”
Besides, Glo also had a call with her family, her father and mother, and shared the complete story in her video. Her father said:
“Victoria needs her motherf—kin ass whopped. Whatever happens in the Woods family, good or bad, ain’t none of y’all concern. I’m not appreciating what Victoria is doing to my family name.”
GloRilla’s mother also presented her side of the story, as Victoria claimed earlier that the rapper forced their mother to retire. The mother said in the call that she worked even after her retirement on her own wish, but was forced to quit due to Victoria’s actions:
“We resigned because the girl told where we were, the hours that we were going, so we had to resign. She didn’t know we were working at first, and when I couldn’t give her the money, that made her think I was struggling.”
Indeed, family issues should not be discussed publicly, but the Woods are already in a public feud. Before the NBA WAG takes the court to be a part of the high-profile NBA celebrity game at the All-Star weekend, she will look to keep things behind her and enjoy her participation.
