Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum caught strays following artist Michael B. Jordan’s post-Oscars In-N-Out stop in Hollywood on Monday. After winning the highly coveted Best Actor Award, the “Sinners” star got a well-deserved hamburger snack amid a throng of surprised fans.
One fan couldn’t resist dragging Tatum to his reaction:
“Bro just gave Tatum another celebration to steal if he wins another ring.”
Another fan added:
“This is gold!”
One more fan continued:
“You don’t have to worry about that. He’s not going to get another wing, especially this year.”
Another fan commented:
“Tatum will never be taken seriously bro. Still dragging it.”
One fan tweeted:
“He’ll have to go to Wahlburgers, though.”
When the do-it-all forward helped the Boston Celtics to the 2024 championship, some fans criticized him for imitating some of the NBA’s best championship celebrations. Tatum once erupted with “We did it,” which many saw as an homage to Kevin Garnett’s passionate “Anything is possible” shout in 2008 after Boston won the title.
During Boston’s center court celebration, Jayson Tatum replicated a refrain Steph Curry popularized in 2022. Taco Jay brought back Curry’s “What they gone say now?” dig at critics.
Tatum and the Boston Celtics failed to defend their championship in 2025 after losing to the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference semifinals. This year, Boston might have a shot at redemption after Tatum remarkably returned from a ruptured right Achilles tendon to rejoin his team. Despite trading and letting go of key players like Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday and Al Horford, the Cs look like legit title contenders again.
If the Celtics do the improbable and win another championship, some fans aren’t ruling out Jayson Tatum imitating Michael B. Jordan’s In-N-Out celebration.
Jayson Tatum Gives Celtics Big Lift in Crucial Regular Season Stretch
Jayson Tatum’s return from a torn Achilles has given the Boston Celtics a big lift. The six-time All-Star is averaging 20.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Tatum gives Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla a proven and versatile playoff performer who can carry the team.
Boston is 4-1 when Tatum is available. The Cs’ only loss during that stretch was against the San Antonio Spurs, the NBA’s hottest team since February. Even with Jaylen Brown playing just 15 minutes following an ejection, Boston gave San Antonio a tough fight before going down 125-116. Tatum finished that game with a season-high 24 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals.
With Jayson Tatum back, the Celtics (45-23) remain in the hunt for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. They trail the Detroit Pistons (48-19) by 3.5 games following Monday’s results. Boston has to have a better record than Detroit after losing the season series to the Pistons 1-3 to get the higher seed.
