Rumors about NBA superstar Luka Doncic dating actress Madelyn Cline surfaced earlier this month. The two reportedly started following each other amid reports that Doncic’s relationship with former fiancée Anamaria Goltes was on rocky ground. Doncic told ESPN on Tuesday that he had ended his engagement to Goltes, increasing rumors that the LA Lakers guard has been going out with Cline.
On Wednesday, TMZ reported that Doncic and Goltes can “officially be crossed off the rumored couples list.” The publication confirmed that “there’s absolutely nothing going on between them.”

A TMZ report on Tuesday mentioned Goltes is petitioning for child support and attorney’s fees from Doncic. In files obtained by the publication, the fitness model left Los Angeles in May 2025 to return to Slovenia. She has been living there with her two daughters while Doncic competes in the NBA with the LA Lakers.
Last week, Goltes and Doncic removed photos of each other on Instagram. Notably gone from their posts was the engagement picture that both had pinned to their accounts. Once that photo was out, the Doncic-Cline dating rumors increased.
Luka Doncic Continues To Roll Despite Off-Court Noise
The off-court noise that has been hounding Luka Doncic, particularly this month, has not affected his on-court performance. Doncic is averaging 32.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 2.0 steals per game in March. The LA Lakers are 5-1 during that stretch. The Slovenian has also been shooting well, averaging 49.3%, including 37.1% from behind the arc.
Doncic’s surge has helped the Lakers (40-25) regain the No. 4 spot in the tightly contested Western Conference standings. They also moved to within half a game behind the Houston Rockets (40-24). The Lakers need Doncic to sustain his form as the team looks for a top 4 finish.
The Lakers aren’t likely going to catch up with the San Antonio Spurs (48-17) and the OKC Thunder (51-15) for a top-2 finish. Luka Doncic and Co. will be content to land in the top 4 to host a first-round playoff series.
