Detroit Pistons vs Philadelphia 76ers Prediction, Injury Reports and Starting Lineups Tonight (Apr. 4)

The Detroit Pistons and Philadelphia 76ers meet for the final time on Saturday before a potential NBA playoffs opening round matchup. The Pistons have already won the season series, leading 3-0. It could be a more balanced game on Saturday as the Pistons remain without Cade Cunningham, while the 76ers could be without Joel Embiid and Paul George.

    Pistons vs. 76ers Preview

The Detroit Pistons have won four of their last five games. They are 7-2 since Cade Cunningham’s lung collapse injury. Their only losses to the Hawks and the Thunder have come in overtime during that stretch. Against OKC, the Pistons were without four starters, so the sample size of their ability to win without Cunningham has been impressive. They remain one of the toughest defensive teams to crack down on, and that’s what they will need to do to beat the 76ers on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers have recorded a solid 8-3 stretch over their past 11 games. Joel Embiid and Paul George have been difference makers for the team. However, George and Embiid haven’t played in back-to-backs and will likely be out on Saturday. Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe and Quinten Grimes will have to shoulder the burden in their absence.

    Pistons vs. 76ers Injury Reports

    Pistons

The Pistons have listed Tobias Harris as questionable, while Marcus Sasser is probable. Cade Cunningham and Isaiah Stewart remain out.

    76ers

The 76ers could be without Joel Embiid and Paul George as the duo isn’t suiting up in back-to-backs.

    Pistons vs. 76ers Starting Lineups

    Pistons

PG – Daniss Jenkins, SG – Duncan Robinson, SF – Ausar Thompson, PF – Tobias Harris*, C – Jalen Duren

    76ers

    Pistons vs. 76ers Betting Tips

Tyrese Maxey is favored to score over 28.5 points.

Jalen Duren is favored to grab over 10.5 rebounds.

Daniss Jenkins is favored to dish over 6.5 assists.

    Pistons vs. 76ers Prediction

Oddsmakers marginally favor the Pistons with a 2.5-point advantage. The 76ers have been on a roll lately and even without Paul George and Joel Embiid, they can cause an upset if Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe have huge games. For now, Detroit seems the ideal team to pick to win this clash.
