Detroit Pistons vs Charlotte Hornets Prediction, Injury Reports and Starting Lineups (April 10)

The Detroit Pistons’ final two road games will commence in North Carolina on Friday when they visit the Charlotte Hornets. Already assured of the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, the Pistons could rest some key players ahead of the playoffs. Cade Cunningham, who bemoaned missing the end-of-season awards for failing to meet the minimum requirement, is cleared to play.

Meanwhile, the Hornets are in desperate need of wins with two games remaining in their schedule. Charlotte still has an outside chance of earning an outright playoff spot despite a 113-102 loss to the Boston Celtics on Tuesday.

Detroit Pistons vs Charlotte Hornets Prediction

The Pistons’ starters are off the injury report, but it remains to be seen if coach J.B. Bickerstaff will play them for long. Bickerstaff might decide to shut them down to prepare for the playoffs.

Cade Cunningham returned on Wednesday from an 11-game absence due to a collapsed left lung. Bickerstaff might give him some minutes to allow the All-Star guard to regain his rhythm.

Regardless of who plays for the Pistons, the Hornets will go all out for a win. Charlotte (43-37) is only two games behind the Atlanta Hawks (45-35) for the No. 6 seed and outright playoff spot. If the Hornets, who own the season series (3-1), run the table and the Hawks go 0-2, Charlotte could gain a guaranteed postseason berth.

Expect the Hornets to blow past the -3.5 spread.
