Clippers vs Raptors Preview and Prediction
The LA Clippers stumbled badly out of the gate in the 2025-26 regular season, opening with a rough 6-21 record through Dec. 19. However, the team turned things around after catching fire late in the year. A five-game winning streak helped them close out December at 12-21, allowing the Clippers to climb a few spots in the Western Conference standings.
That momentum has carried over into the new year, with the Clippers having won six of their first eight games in January. Much of that success has been driven by Kawhi Leonard, who has been averaging 31.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game over the past four weeks. His exceptional performance has led the Clippers to rise to #11 in the West.
The Toronto Raptors, on the other hand, had a strong 14-5 start to the season. However, their pace has cooled since Nov. 29, going 11-12 since. Despite the dip in form, Toronto still sits fourth in the Eastern Conference.
The Scottie Barnes and Brandon Ingram frontcourt has been a positive takeaway, combining for 41.3 points, 14.4 rebounds and 9.1 assists per game through the first half of the campaign.
Heading into Friday’s matchup, the Clippers appear to have the edge. James Harden and Kawhi Leonard seem to have found their rhythm, with LA riding a four-game winning streak (all against Eastern Conference teams).
Prediction: Expect the Clippers to win by 8 points.
