With the first two games of the Eastern Conference Finals taking place inside Madison Square Garden, there has been no shortage of star power in the Knicks-Cavs series. As Game 3 emanated from Rocket Arena, no less than the biggest pop star today was seen taking in the action.
In the opening quarter, the TV broadcast captured Grammy Award-winning musician Taylor Swift and her fiance, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. If the Knicks have had Spike Lee and Ben Stiller on celebrity row for years, Kelce has now made his presence felt as a Cleveland Heights native.
The presence of the power couple in Game 3 drew enthusiastic responses from fans online.
“Can the Swifty effect help the Cavs win game 3??”
“How are they not getting swarmed by people?!?”
“Isn’t she a known Knicks fan”
“You know OG finna have a insane game now”
“Bruh we can’t lose with Taylor Swift courtside”
“Taylor and Travis in the house for Game 3! The star power tonight is crazy”
The Cavs, however, will have to avoid getting starstruck in Game 3 as they look to avoid an 0-3 hole in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Thus far, Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart have gotten the better of Donovan Mitchell and James Harden, while Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley have yet to impose their will on the series. For the Cavs, posting their first win in the ECF will be a step forward in the right direction.
Cavs Post “New Rules” for Dealing With Knicks Fans Making Their Presence Felt in Game 3
With the Cavs hoping to get on the win column in this series, the organization decided to post a set of “new rules” for fans to follow as Knicks supporters attempt to hijack Rocket Arena in Game 3.
“Wear the damn shirt,” the first rule stated. “If you’re in the building, you’re in uniform. Playoff tee on from tip to final buzzer.”
The other rules included giving “no warm welcomes” to Knicks fans, screaming the word “defense” when the Knicks are on the attack, distracting New York’s players when they’re attempting free throws, and waving rally towels in the fourth quarter.
