The New York Knicks and the Cleveland Cavaliers are engaged in a high-intensity conference semifinals, but Knicks loyalist Ben Stiller has taken the battle to social media. Dave Portnoy, owner of Barstool Sports and a Cavaliers fan, boasted of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce watching Game 3 courtside at Rocket Arena, backing the home team. However, Stiller responded with a savage comment.
Popular music artist Taylor Swift and NFL tight end Travis Kelce have been in a romantic relationship since the summer of 2023. She is often seen at the Kansas City Chiefs’ NFL games, supporting her beau. Given Kelce hails from Ohio, Cleveland, he and his NFL brother Jason Kelce are often seen courtside.
Notably, Madison Square Garden is famous for hosting some of the biggest celebrities in the sports and entertainment worlds. Portnoy reshared the NBA’s video of the popular couple on X and wrote:
“And just like that Cleveland’s celebrity row shits all over New York’s”
Ben Stiller, who is an almost-permanent feature on the courtside, backing the Knicks, quickly took a sly dig at Portnoy and made him remember the team’s condition in the series. The Cavs are trailing 0-3. Stiller wrote:
“Enjoy the ECF”
The Knicks have had a stellar postseason thus far. Jalen Brunson has been consistent even when the rest of the team has seen some off games. In Game 3, he scored 30 points and six assists.
The Cavaliers look at their season ending soon against the Knicks
The Cavaliers have seen a complete difference in the offensive abilities on the floor as compared to the Knicks. Evan Mobley has looked balanced on both sides of the floor, but the rest of the starters have felt constrained. James Harden scored 19 points, shooting 1-7 from deep, which has been a constant issue for him.
The Cavs are now in a 0-3 hole, and they don’t have a peak LeBron James to launch that kind of a comeback. Moreover, no team has recovered from that kind of deficit in the postseason. Moreover, Captain Clutch has been in all his glory this time, aiming to take the franchise to the ultimate glory after more than half a century of waiting.
