It’s no secret things have been tense between LeBron James and Drake lately. But that didn’t stop King James from showing love to Drake’s viral “Shabang” TikTok trend.
James has been having himself an incredible offseason. It seems like ages ago that the Cleveland Cavaliers made their legendary comeback from a 3-1 series deficit against the Golden State Warriors to win the franchise’s first NBA championship. To mark the 10-year anniversary of that 2016 championship, James and the core members of the title team recently gathered for a mini-vacation in Scotland.
The reunion has already produced plenty of memorable moments, with the former Cavaliers stars spending time together on golf courses, sharing laughs, and reliving old memories.
On Friday, Jefferson added another moment when he posted an Instagram Reel recreating the “Shabang” trend, which is inspired by one of the standout tracks from Drake’s ‘Iceman’ album.
Sharing footage from the Scotland getaway, Jefferson joked:
“When you’re 45 and the boys are drinking like they’re 25.”
The video was reposted by James on his own story, who added his stamp of approval by commenting with multiple laughing emojis.
The cross-over moment instantly took over social media, not only because of the reunion itself but also because James appeared to embrace a trend tied to Drake despite their highly publicized fallout. Either way, the Cavaliers legends looked like they were having the time of their lives as they celebrated a championship that continues to define an era.

Despite LeBron James trying to cool down the feud, Drake is refusing to let it die down, actively dissing the NBA star across his latest project.
In the track “Make Them Remember,” Drake appeared to take a direct shot at James, rapping:
“I shouldn’t even be shocked to see you in that arena, because you always made your career off of switching teams up.”
Drake also took another jab at James in a separate line that said:
“Please stop asking what’s going on with 23 and me.”
While the two were previously friendly, the shift in their relationship reportedly came after James attended Kendrick Lamar’s “The Pop Out” concert during Lamar’s notable feud with Drake in 2024.
