Are LeBron James and Bad Bunny Friends? Closer Look At Their Dynamic After Rapper’s Super Bowl Jab To Shout Out JJ Barea

Bad Bunny’s halftime NFL Super Bowl LX performance drew historic attention and viewership numbers. However, it was under the spotlight for one more reason, a line that mentioned the NBA superstar LeBron James. The mention was beside another basketball name from Puerto Rico, JJ Barea.

Barea has played 14 NBA seasons and was part of the 2011 champion, the Dallas Mavericks. He averaged 21.4 minutes and scored 8.8 points per game. However, LeBron James won his first championship in 2012 with the Miami Heat, when the team defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals.

Bad Bunny, a 6-time Grammy winner, referred to that and shouted out the NBA champion from his country, seemingly taking a dig at the Lakers superstar forward.

Are LeBron James and Bad Bunny friends?

LeBron James and Bad Bunny were seen together earlier in some instances, and the 4-time NBA champion has opened up about their bond. He was also seen last year partying with the music artist during his concert.

The 4-time NBA MVP was also asked about his experience with Bad Bunny after a Lakers game. He was excited to be part of the Puerto Rican artist’s show and expressed his appreciation for the music star performing at the Super Bowl.

    James said:

“I’m super happy for Bad Bunny that he’s able to represent the Super Bowl in San Francisco. That’s gonna be super dope and hopefully I could be there, man, just to support him. He’s a great friend of mine, so it was great to see that.”

Such instances have left fans wondering why the halftime performer might have taken a shot at the NBA legend. While King James figures out his relationship with Bad Bunny, the Lakers have found a new light in Austin Reaves’ return to the team.

The Lakeshow has now won three consecutive games and is set to play back-to-back games against the Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs. Even with Luka Doncic out of the rotation, the team held on to win the matchup with the Golden State Warriors, who were also without their star guard, Steph Curry. The Lakers will now look to carry on the winning streak.
