LaMelo Ball’s father, LaVar Ball, and his stints in controversy are well known in the NBA world. He even once claimed that all three of his sons, LaMelo Ball, Lonzo Ball, and LiAngelo Ball, would one day play in the NBA. And two of them have already reached the big league.
Lonzo is currently part of the Utah Jazz, and LaMelo is an elite guard with the Charlotte Hornets. And recently, his third son, LiAngelo, was also rumored to be getting into the NBA. Moreover, it was stated that he might sign with the Hornets and play with his elder brother. A user on X shared a post and wrote:
“BREAKING: LiAngelo Ball has signed with the Charlotte Hornets. He will now get the opportunity to play with his brother LaMelo Ball.”
However, no such update has been officially shared by ESPN or other credible sources. Several fans in the comment section also shared their opinions and claimed that the authenticity of the source can not be confirmed.
LiAngelo, who earlier played for the Hornets’ G League affiliate team, is also a music artist. He has yet to sign a regular-season NBA contract with any team. Moreover, the team already features some talented guards like LaMelo, Kon Knueppel, Grant Williams, and others.
LaMelo Ball and Co. eye a play-in spot this season
LaMelo Ball and the Hornets have caught a fresh wave after a consistent and healthy run from the talented young core of Ball, Brandon Miller, and Kon Knueppel. While Miller and Knueppel have led the scoring sections, Ball has provided vision and facilitated the offense.
Knueppel has had a Rookie of the Year season thus far, averaging 18.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists. Meanwhile, a healthy Ball has led the offense, getting some good shots for the team and draining clutch buckets from deep.
While Ball leads the team in assists this season (7.4), Miller leads the scoring (20.6). The three have shown chemistry and hunger on the court to get out of the bottom section in the leaderboard. Placed ninth in the Eastern Conference, the Hornets have presented a strong claim on the play-in spot.
