Although the NBA All-Star has been heavily criticized for a lack of competition and fans’ fading interest, Victor Wembanyama has provided a much-needed energy to the game. This is the French center’s second appearance, and the Minnesota Timberwolves Anthony Edwards came ready for the battle.
Talking during the mid-game media interaction, Ant-Man shared his thoughts on competing against Wemby, who led Team World. Edwards said:
“Wemby set the tone… it’s hard not to match that so, sh*t that’s what happened. Excuse my language.”
The All-Star game is done with Game 1, where Team USA Stars defeated Team World (37-35). In Game 2, Team USA Stripes defeated Team USA Stars (42-40) after a clutch bucket from D’Aaron Fox, who took the game away in the final seconds. Game 3 was a faceoff between Team USA Stripes and Team World, in which the former prevailed with 48-45.
The battle for the face of the league is still open, and a lot of young contenders have put the league on notice with their abilities.
