Brad Keselowski confirmed Ryan Preece’s spot in RFK Racing for 2027 during a meeting with reporters at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday.
Preece has been with RFK Racing since last year. The No. 60 driver missed the 2025 playoffs by two spots and is currently in the same place this season.
Preece began the year with a win at the season-opening exhibition event, The Clash. This boosted his prospects within the team, despite the feat coming in a non-points-paying race.
RFK Racing co-owner Keselowski had this to say about Preece’s future:
“We had a multi-year contract with Ryan and we picked up his option here a few months ago. we’re going to continue to keep him as a part of the family for a while.”
Keselowski trails Preece in the standings after a streak of bad luck with three DNFs in a row.
He bounced back with a top-10 finish at North Wilkesboro Speedway. His best result this season remains a runner-up finish at Darlington.
Brad Keselowski comments on Ryan Preece and Chris Buescher’s partnership
Ryan Preece and Chris Buescher have engaged in a prank war since last season. During a Kansas race last fall, Buescher removed a door from Preece’s Bronco and launched a hilarious off-track rivalry.
At Phoenix, Preece upped the ante by wrapping Buescher’s car with Christmas lights and having it towed. He also put up billboards of Buescher along the highway in Atlanta. Most recently, Buescher intercepted Preece’s Ford truck delivery and adorned it with flowery decals.
Brad Keselowski weighed in on the playful back-and-forth, saying,
“they’re having a lot of fun which I’m glad because this sport can be such a grind.
You know, those two are really good people. I feel very fortunate to have them at RFK.“I wish that we were a little bit faster so we could be winning races and their personality could show in ways that I don’t think they get necessarily the opportunity to.
But I’m really proud of them and everything they’re doing and the work they’re putting into being the best they can be and glad they’re having a little bit of fun,” Brad Keselowski concluded. (via Youtube/Frontstretch)
With two top-5s and 10 top-10s, Buescher leads the way for RFK Racing.
He didn’t make the playoffs last year, but with five races remaining this regular season, Buescher stands a strong chance of a Chase spot. Buescher and Keselowski line up inside the top-20 for Sunday’s Brickyard 400, while Preece starts way back at 34th.
