Daniel Ricciardo Pens Love Letter For The Daytona 500 As His Business Gears Up For New NASCAR Drop

Daniel Ricciardo has written a fan note to the Daytona 500, explaining why the race matters to him, as his new business, Enchante, prepares a NASCAR-themed drop ahead of the 68th running of the event thos Sunday.

Ricciardo made his name in top level open wheel racing and now runs the lifestyle brand that sells apparel and limited run items. The brand plans a special Daytona 500 release called Daytona Thunder, to sell race themed shirts and caps.

In a recent post on Enchante’s Instagram account, the 36-year-old wrote why he finds the Daytona 500 fascinating:

“As a kid, I grew up a fan of NASCAR. The Daytona 500 was my most anticipated race to watch. The close racing, the bump drafting and this and that, but also just the timing. The strategy and how early in the race to show your cards so to speak, and the cat and mouse and when to go and when to be patient. The whole flow of the race that really fascinated me. What a way to start a year, with a race like Daytona.”

Enchanté, which started in 2023, grew into a full brand with clothing, accessories, and limited edition pieces that reflect his personal style and racing roots. The brand also did a collaboration with Enchanté Rosé, a wine released in March 2025 with St Hugo, which taps into his lifestyle vision for the brand.

Ricciardo left RB, the Red Bull-owned F1 team, in late September 2024. The team said it would replace him for the remainder of that season and Liam Lawson stepped into the seat for the final races. Ricciardo’s mid season was the end of his recent run in F1.

Daniel Ricciardo’s exit from F1 left many fans talking and opened the door to a possible entry in a different racing series. But he took up a role as a global ambassador with Ford Racing last year.

One of the biggest supporters of a potential NASCAR switch for the Australian star is Dale Earnhardt Jr. He said he would like to see Ricciardo try NASCAR after his F1 career ended, he might make a switch to stock cars.

“I was hoping that Daniel Ricciardo would come to NASCAR after his decision to leave Formula 1, and that may still happen,” Earnhardt Jr. said.

Ricciardo also reportedly got offers from teams in IndyCar and NASCAR after he announced his retirement from F1 but he has not yet commented on a possible entry.
