Cleetus McFarland’s NASCAR Truck Series Debut at Daytona Obstructed; Needs to Pass Upcoming Test

Cleetus McFarland’s planned debut in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Daytona International Speedway will not be automatic. The popular YouTuber and racing enthusiast will have to first get approval from NASCAR after a scheduled test session at Rockingham Speedway next week.

Niece Motorsport announced this Wednesday about McFarland’s Truck Series debut at the season opening race alongside veteran racer Travis Pastrana. McFarland has built a large online following through his automotive content and grassroots racing efforts. He made his NASCAR debut last year in the ARCA Menards Series.

Last season, the 30-year-old ran at Daytona, Talladega, Charlotte and Bristol, with his best finish being ninth place at the 1.5 mile oval in North Carolina.

McFarland will get sponsorship from Black Rifle Coffee Company and Brunt Workwear for his No. 4 Chevrolet Silverado during the Daytona race but his entry into the Fresh From Florida 250 on Feb. 13 is contingent on his performance test session Tuesday.

‘I’m pumped to get back on track at Daytona. I’ve been lucky to drive a lot of really cool stuff, but Daytona in a NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck is a whole new level. This is my first time in the series, so I know it’s going to push me way outside my comfort zone, and that’s what makes it so exciting. I’m incredibly grateful to have partners like Black Rifle Coffee Company, BRUNT and Niece Motorsports backing us every step of the way,” Cleetus McFarland said in a team release.

If McFarland gets the thumbs up, he will race with Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who will also make his Truck Series debut with Niece Motorsports. Former NASCAR Cup champion Tony Stewart is also set to make his NASCAR comeback after over a decade with Kaulig Racing and RAM.

Cleetus McFarland to Return With Four-Race ARCA Schedule in 2026

Cleetus McFarland will also return to the ARCA Menards Series this season in a part-time schedule focused on superspeedways and intermediate tracks. McFarland, who made four ARCA starts in 2025, will run the same number races in the No. 30 Ford Mustang for Rette Jones Racing this year.

The 2026 ARCA season will open at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 14. McFarland will then run at Kansas Speedway on April 18, Talladega Superspeedway on April 25, and Michigan International Speedway on June 5.

The Bradenton, Florida, native also plans to honor late NASCAR Cup driver and close friend Greg Biffle, with ‘Be Like Biff’ on the back of his car. Biffle, who tragically died in a plane crash in December of last year, also helped McFarland get his ARCA race last year.
