Michigan Players Who Have Announced That They Are Entering the Transfer Portal

    • LB Cole Sullivan
    • CB Elijah Dotson
    • QB Davis Warren
    • QB Jadyn Davis
    • WR Fredrick Moore
    • OL Connor Jones

The two biggest names leaving Michigan are linebacker Cole Sullivan, an elite defensive player who shone in the Citrus Bowl loss to Texas. The other is Davis Warren, who was the starting QB for the team in 2024 but lost his position.

During the Citrus Bowl, Warren announced he will enter the transfer portal, as he still has two years of eligibility left. Meanwhile, Sullivan said he had a “great meeting” with incoming head coach Kyle Whittingham but stated that he wanted to keep his options open, though he reportedly admitted that he really likes “what he’s bringing to this team and this program.”

Another big hit is freshman Elijah Dotson, who was a teammate of Bryce Underwood at Belleville. Dotson was one of the most promising recruits Michigan had last year, being rated the No. 11 defensive back in the country and No. 131 player in the Class of 2025.

Another player that Michigan will be losing is the quarterback once dubbed as the heir apparent to J.J. McCarthy, Jadyn Davis, who has not really shone despite being a Top 10 quarterback from the Class of 2023. He has not received as much playing time as the others.
