The Miami Hurricanes were certainly the most surprising team during last year’s College Football Playoffs. Initially, many believed that they would not qualify, and there were several analysts questioning their selection over Notre Dame. However, they made it all the way to the finals, beating higher-ranked teams along the way.
For this year’s NFL draft, a lot of Miami Hurricanes players entered, and a total of nine players were selected. This is the sixth time that the school has produced nine draft picks in a single year, with it previously happening in 2006, 2004, 1993, 1990 and 1968.
The biggest name was Carson Beck, but he was only selected on Day 2, being the first pick in the third round. Instead, it was the team’s defensive players who shone the most during the first round. Here are all nine ‘Canes players who got selected during this year’s NFL draft:

Miami Hurricanes Ties 2 Other Schools in Having Fourth-Most NFL Draft Selections This Year
The Miami Hurricanes have been known to churn out NFL players left and right, and this year was no different. They only trail Ohio State (11), Alabama (10) and Texas A&M (10) and are tied with two other schools for fourth place with producing the most NFL players this year. Those two other schools are Clemson and Texas Tech.
