JT Toppin, Christian Anderson and LeJuwan Watts, the Red Raiders’ “Big Three” have been very consistent, but the one to watch should be Jaylen Petty, who exploded against the Cougars last time.
Five-star freshman big man Chris Cenac Jr. and freshman shooting guard Kingston Flemings have been big for Houston, which has been very consistent on defense. The last time they took on Texas Tech was at their home court, though, and this time, they are taking on the Red Raiders on the road.
Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. Houston Cougars Prediction
The Houston Cougars are considered national contenders, as are the Texas Tech Red Raiders. That being said, the Cougs are actually coming in as the -3.5 favorites, even if the game is happening over at Lubbock. However, given that they barely won at their home floor the last time, Texas Tech might be able to gave yet another upset up its sleeves, as it did against Duke last time.
The Red Raiders should win this one, but like the last time, it will be close.
