Milan Momcilovic Compares His Game to Celtics Star as Kentucky Welcomes $6M Commit

Milan Momcilovic’s commitment to Kentucky has generated serious excitement on campus, and he is bound to have a big impact on Mark Pope’s team in the new season.

With Momcilovic now on Kentucky’s campus, it’s just a matter of time before the Big Blue Nation (BBN) gets an opportunity to see him in the team’s colors, and with a defined role under Pope.

While his on-court traits are already well known, other facts about the player stand out. Kentucky’s social media team took to X to share some interesting tidbits about Momcilovic, who is set to make over $6 million this season, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

According to the graphic, Momcilovic sees similarities between himself and NBA star Sam Hauser, who currently plays for the Boston Celtics.

“What’s up, BBN? Just touched down here in Lexington, can’t wait for the season to get going. It’s going to be a fun year, a fun fact about me is I’m pretty nasty at ping pong,” Momcilovic said in the accompanying video.

What do Sam Hauser and Milan Momcilovic Have in Common?

Milan Momcilovic’s comparison to Sam Hauser may be fair, since the duo plays pretty similarly. They are both considered highly efficient forwards who specialize in shooting.

Both have an incredible ability to convert from deep and are considered giants in the basketball landscape, with Momcilovic just slightly taller than Hauser at 6 feet 8 inches.

Where Hauser probably excels is his defensive abilities, which Momcilovic perhaps needs to work on and probably will under Mark Pope at Kentucky as he prepares for the NBA draft next season.
