Louisville Men’s Basketball Transfer Portal: Full List of Players Entering and Exiting

As we approach the end of the college basketball season, we are moving towards the transfer portal, where the Louisville Cardinals are expected to be busy. Under head coach Pat Kelsey, who will be entering his third season with the program, there are some roster spots that need to be filled, given the limited commitments they have received for the 2026 class.

Let’s take a look at the transfer portal activity from Louisville.

    Coming to Louisville

So far, no player has announced their plans for the transfer portal. However, Mikel Brown Jr. is expected to leave.

    Going out of Louisville

Forward Sananda Fru, who is a junior, has reportedly shared his plans to enter the transfer portal a couple of days ago.

He will be a big loss for the Cardinals as he played in all 35 games this season, averaging a team-best 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. He also averaged 9.0 points per game. His 76.5 field goal percentage is only second to Santa Clara’s Bukky Oboye (77.3 percent) in Division 1 college basketball.

However, it should also be noted that as the season progressed, his offensive efficiency has taken a dip. In the last 11 games, he averaged 5.9 points and 5.2 rebounds. This led to Vangelis Zougris replacing him in the starting lineup for the last six games.

Forward Khani Rooths, who is a sophomore, has planned to enter the transfer portal. In 31 games (including two starts) this season, he averaged 5.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists. He shot 44.9 percent from the floor, but only 22.4 percent from the 3-point line. His beyond-the-arc shooting was the worst on the team.

Interestingly, he was Pat Kelsey’s first recruit at Louisville. In his first year with the program, Rooths played all 35 games, averaging 3.3 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.

Aside from this transfer portal activity, Ryan Conwell, J’Vonne Hadley, Isaac McKneely, Aly Khalifa, and Kobe Rodgers are five names who have exhausted their eligibility.
