John Calipari’s Arkanas have been busy in the transfer portal in the offseason. The Razorbacks are coming from an average season. They had a 28-9 overall and 13-5 SEC record. However, they did reach the Sweet Sixteen, but lost to Arizona. John Calipari did have some success with the SEC tournament championship.
There were some very key players departing from the team. Highly talented freshman duo of Meleek Thomas and Darius Acuff Jr decided to declare for the NBA draft. DJ Wagner transferred to Maryland and Karter Knox to Louisville. Karim Rtail and Elmir Dzafic entered the transfer portal.
Another player who had declared for the NBA draft was Billy Richmond. With the decision deadline upon us, Richmond has finally made his call. However, before we got a confirmation, we got a lot of confusion. Many analysts reported that Richmond is staying in the draft. On the other hand, many reported that he will return.
Analyst Jeff Goodman reported that Richmond’s agent himself revealed that he will return to Arkansas. Goodman stuck to his report and in another post he said, “I’m told that Billy Richmond was not staying in the draft. There was no change of course. The plan was for him to return to Arkansas.”
Analyst Jeff Rothstein reported that Billy was in fact staying in the draft. However, he had to post once again clarifying that Richmond had just switched his course and is set to return. A lot of news outlets were also left confused because of this last minute change of mind.

Fans were confused and but ultimately happy about Billy’s return.
“Jesus what a sh*t show gone not gone welcome back Billy goat!!” One fan said.
“Craziest 3 minutes of my life. Went from doom and gloom to being ecstatic,” another fan expressed.
“Holy sh*t was wondering why other outlets weren’t reporting. hogs back up!!!!” One fan commented.
“Did he switch or was your “source” just wrong?” Another fan questioned.
“Sounds like Billy’s agent played this perfectly. I ain’t hating, probally got him an extra 250K with this move,” one fan speculated.
“Best decision he could have made. He will be first round next year,” another claimed.
