“I’m Longer”: Kager Knueppel Lists Strengths Over Elder Brother Kon Knueppel as Duke Keeps Close Eye

The Knueppel family has garnered major interest from college basketball fans, coaches and players alike ever since Kon Knueppel burst onto the scene at Duke. He excelled with the Blue Devils before heading off to the NBA as a No. 4 draft pick.

Such was Kon Knueppel’s impact that Duke fans and coaches have been keeping a close eye on the rest of his family, considering the size advantages are there for all to see.

While Kon is listed at 6-foot-6, his second younger brother, Kager Knueppel, is actually even taller at 6-10. The Wisconsin Lutheran High School (Milwaukee) star isn’t afraid to talk about it as he prepares for his own college bow in 2027.

“I’m different (than Kon Knueppel) because I’m longer and taller,” Kager told Adam Finkelstein on Friday, “so that’s obviously helped me a little bit, but then I can also get the blocks on defense, and I can shoot as well, so that’s good.”

Duke is by far the first team in line to recruit Kager Knueppel out of high school and see the benefits of having another Knueppel on their squad. Kager himself can play in multiple positions and has displayed a level of maturity that college programs will be looking at as they weigh up their options from the 2027 recruiting class.

Who Are the Other Brothers in the Knueppel Family?

Fans often ask how many brothers there are in the Knueppel family. There are a total of five brothers, with Kon Knueppel the eldest.

Born to Kon Sr. and Chari Knueppel, the brothers (from eldest to youngest) are Kon, Kager, Kinston, Kash and Kidman, all of whom are involved in basketball at some level.

Kager is the tallest, as he mentioned, standing at approximately 6-foot-10, and plays with his brother, Kinston, at Wisconsin Lutheran. Kash and Kidman are also up-and-coming players, with plenty of scouts keeping an eye on them as future prospects.
