The Hofstra Pride and Alabama Crimson Tide are set to battle in March Madness. Just like football, hockey or any other team sport, a team can go only as far as injuries will allow in most situations.
Keeping this in mind, here’s a look at the injury and availability situations for both the Alabama Crimson Tide and Hofstra Pride.
Alabama Crimson Tide Injuries And Absences
Alabama is mostly in good shape, according to Rotowire, with the majority of its injuries taking place below the starting level on the team’s roster. However, the big absence is set to be point guard Aden Holloway, who has been dealing with legal troubles. Some had hoped he would be available for the contest, but it appears he will not be able to take part in the contest.
- PG Aden Holloway – Out
- SF Davion Hannah – Game Time Decision
- PF/C Keitenn Bristow – Game Time Decision
- C Collins Onyejiaka – Out
- C Charles Bediako – Out For Season
With Alabama down one of its biggest stars, it will have to hope it can get to the next round and buy just enough time for Holloway to become available. Otherwise, it could be quite an uphill battle.
Hofstra Pride Injuries And Absences
While Alabama is facing several injury problems in addition to star Aden Holloway’s absence, the Hofstra Pride appears to be in immaculate shape up and down the roster, at least on the surface, with no injuries to the starters or the backups publicly known about.
- No Reported Injuries
While there’s a chance that some players might not feel as great as they did heading into the first game of the season, there are no injuries that are set to limit the roster in any form or fashion.
Of course, anything can change or be reported before the Hofstra Pride and Alabama Crimson Tide face off on Friday at 3:15 PM EST.
