Fans React to Kasean Pryor’s 7th-Year Decision

As soon as the news broke, reactions poured in.

“Bro wants to stay in college forever,” one fan joked, summing up the disbelief surrounding the situation.

Another added, “7 years man better have multiple degrees and some NCAA records,” highlighting just how rare this kind of eligibility extension feels.

“How about you get a job instead,” one comment read, while another echoed a similar sentiment: “Dude, you got a master’s degree now. Go get a job.”

The tone ranged from sarcastic to critical, with many fans pointing to how much the college landscape has changed in recent years.

    Not every reaction was negative.

“I appreciate all he gave. If he mentally recovers from his injury and gives 110% this offseason he will be real good for someone,” one fan wrote, offering a more supportive perspective.

    Kasean Pryor Injury Explained

The 6-foot-10 forward suffered a torn ACL during the 2024-25 season, which significantly impacted his development and availability. Even after returning, he struggled to regain a consistent role, averaging just over two points per game in limited minutes this past season.

Before the injury, Pryor showed real promise. During the 2024-25 campaign, he averaged 12 points and over six rebounds per game, flashing the kind of production that made him an intriguing stretch forward.

Seeking a seventh year is largely about reclaiming that version of himself.

With multiple players entering the portal while new additions continue to arrive. The program is clearly prioritizing a reset after an up-and-down season.

Whether he lands at another program or gets the opportunity to fully reset his career, the focus will be on proving whether he can still contribute at a high level.
