Fans React to Darius Acuff Jr’s Unavailability
Fans online were saddened by Darius Acuff Jr’s injury update and hoped for his return before the March Madness.
“Hate it bc gosh … I love to watch him. But it makes perfect sense. Double-bye . SEC FOY . SEC POY. Take the week off and get healthy for a big March run,” one fan expressed discontent.
“It was also Mizzou where the defender put a foot directly behind the hurt ankle in garbage time and aggravated it more,” one fan remembered.
“He’s been playing through on an injured ankle, so this will give him a few days extra to heal,” another fan stated.
“This is the smart move. I hate it because it is one less chance to watch Acuff. But, this makes sense,” one fan said.
“Double bye secured, he’s been playing hurt for weeks, let him rest,” another suggested.
“Get healthy for that tourney run big dawg,” one fan hoped.
