Michigan State Spartans star Coen Carr delivered an incredible moment in the game against the Purdue Boilermakers on Thursday. This led to one sports analyst singing high praise of him.
Michigan stole the ball in the second half with 10:00 minutes remaining. Carr was handed the ball by Jeremy Fears and he went on to deliver a monstrous dunk, where he flew from the charity stripe and left fans at Mackey Arena simply amazed.
This has CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander convinced that he deserves to be in the NBA Dunk contest next season, even though he has one year of eligibility remaining in college, simply because he’s the best dunker in all of basketball.
“I want to be clear, like Cone Carr has another year of eligibility,” Norlander said. “I don’t care. He needs to be eligible for the NBA dunk contest next year. I don’t care if he’s still playing in East Lansing. Make the exception. He’s the best in-game dunker in all of basketball, not just college. He stepped up well in a really good spot here. This was a very good team win for Michigan State to have Carr and his spurt ability.”
Coen Carr is known for athletic plays and energetic dunks. He has previously featured in games like the Moneyball Pro-Am and regular college matchups.
