Who is Bryce James’ Girlfriend? All You Need to Know About Arizona Star’s Partner

In January 2025, Bryce James announced his commitment to the University of Arizona to play for the Arizona Wildcats. In April, he signed with the team. James’ decision came after several months of speculation about his future.

There was a lot of excitement around James’ career in Arizona. Earlier this month, it was announced that the youngest son of NBA star LeBron James will redshirt his freshman year at Arizona.

For now, James is off the court, and he will not play for the Wildcats this season. However, his popularity hasn’t taken a hit due to his last name and the fan following he has already built for himself.

Fans are often curious about his personal life and wonder if he’s in a relationship with someone. James is dating Sadie Johnson, who studies at the University of California. They have been dating since 2024.

James and Johnson were first spotted together in Paris during the Olympics. At the time, James’ father, LeBron, was representing the Team USA Men’s Basketball team, and they were making a run at the gold medal.

James was seen with Johnson in the crowd, supporting his father, who won the gold medal for Team USA. Although they haven’t made many public appearances, James and Johnson often show love to each other on social media.

The couple recently celebrated Valentine’s Day as well. Johnson posted a picture with James on her Instagram story with the caption, “my love.” James could be seen hugging her from behind and kissing her neck in the mirror selfie taken by Johnson.

Bryce James Will Redshirt His Freshman Year

There seems to be no rush in putting James on the floor. He is just 18 years old and has plenty of time ahead of him to properly develop as a player, in his position as a shooting guard, and be ready for the NBA.

Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd made the decision earlier this month and announced it during a conversation on the Big 12 Network.

“The redshirting decision was just a long play, to give Bryce the most options in his career as his career unfolds,” he said. “I have real strong belief that Bryce will be a contributor at Arizona in the near future. He’s really shown a lot of progress, not only learning our system but just physically maturing.”

Lloyd believes that it’s better to have James redshirt his freshman year than give him limited minutes in a limited number of games. The Wildcats are one of the best teams in the country, and finding a permanent place for James is difficult this year.

With this decision, James will be able to extend his eligibility and be better prepared to take on a stable role on the team next season.
