AJ Dybantsa’s NBA Draft Combine Measurements Come Extremely Close to Paul George

AJ Dybantsa was the top scorer last season in the country. Despite BYU’s disappointing year, AJ Dybantsa had a pretty impressive freshman season. Ever since he rose up on the scene with his ridiculously good numbers in high school, people knew he would be league ready. Everyone expected a one and done season from AJ Dybantsa.

And that’s what happened. AJ Dybantsa is now definitely set to become one of the top three picks in the 2026 NBA draft. With the Wizards winning the NBA lottery, AJ Dybantsa might just end up in Washington for his rookie season.

AJ Dybantsa’s first reaction was seemed like he did not like the Washington Wizards being the suitors to choose the first pick. However, he cleared that up and shared that if it comes to it, he will be more than happy to play in Washington. After the reaction went viral, now his NBA draft combine measurements are making rounds on the internet. And there is an interesting NBA player comparison after his NBA draft combine.

AJ Dybantsa’s measurements came extremely close to Paul George’s measurements from 2010 NBA draft. Dybantsa was recorded at 6’8.5 height, 217 lbs, 7’0.25 wingspan, 8’10 standing reach. Paul George, on the other hand, was recorded at 6’8.75 height, 214 lbs, 6’11.25 wingspan and 8’11 standing reach.

Fans react to AJ Dybantsa, Paul George comparisons

Fans did not agree with the comparisons and had some reservations about AJ Dybantsa measuring close to Paul George.

“Paul George is absolutely not 6’8.75 barefoot, where’s the source for that? He measured 6’7.75 at the combine,” one fan stated.

“With looser handles and a worse jumper. What if Dybantsa is…Antonio McDyess?” Another fan compared.

“Didn’t PG grow a few inches in the following years after he was drafted?” One fan wondered.

“Totally different players. PG started his career and an elite defensive player. AJ is currently an elite offensive player,” one fan claimed.

“Except Dybantsa is way more athletic and flexible… and that’s comparing him to someone who did 360 windmills in a game. People underrate AJ as a prospect despite him likely still being the first pick imo,” another commented.

“Paul George was an all world defender and high level shot maker. Lot of work to be done,” one fan said.
