    5-Star Recruit Cayden Daughtry Confirms Interest from Michigan, Kentucky, UConn and More

    Cayden Daughtry is quickly grabbing attention from different colleges after an impressive display at the high school level so far. 6’0″ point guard is one of the best players in the class of 2027. 5-star recruit is currently leading the EYBL 17U in scoring. He is averaging 23.7 points per game.

    He plays for Calvary Christian Academy. In the high school season, he has played 22 games. In those appearances, he averages 26.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 2.7 steals per game. College programs were quick to recognise his talents. So much so that multiple teams sent him offers in 2023 itself.

    He has already received offers from UConn, Kentucky, Arizona State, BYU, Cincinnati, Illinois, Dayton, Florida State, Iowa, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pittsburghm Rutgers, South Florida, Texas A&M, Virginia, and West Virginia. Cayden Daughtry talked about his options and also revealed names of other teams that are interested in him.

    When asked about how big Florida State and Miami are for him, he revealed other teams that have shown interest in him.
    “Providence has jumped in. Kentucky has jumped in. UConn has jumped in. There’s a couple others. There’s a lot of people jumping in now since the last season, but you know, just got to keep improving, get better, and you know, I’ll probably have a top 10 [colleges] or whatever,” Daughtry said at 3:20.
    He also talked about Iowa and Michigan’s seasons. He talked about Iowa head coach Ben McCollum and praised how Iowa HC grows players. He called coach McCollum a winner.

    Cayden Daughtry appreciates Michigan star’s development

    After giving Ben McCollum’s Iowa their flowers, Cayden Daughtry was asked about Dusty May and Michigan’s NCAA championship season. He first shared that his relationship with Dusty May is good. He revealed that they talked about how the game would transition between him and Elliot Cadeau if he chooses to accept their offer.
    “I feel like all have good fits for me, good coaches, and Dusty May obviously, won a national championship this year. The playing style, they trusted Elliot with the ball. They trusted him to demand the offense and that’s what he did and he got final four outstanding most outstanding players. So, you know, to go from North Carolina playing like how he was to, you know, [to] now, it’s huge,” he added.
