The 2024 season could be seen as a put-up or shut-up year for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. With expectations high a year ago, the Bulldogs limped through their schedule last fall.

The expectations for success in Ruston this season may have to take a small side step to start the year. Sure, it starts off with a winnable game against Nicholls State but a trip to face off against NC State in early September looms large.
Tulsa has proven to be a spark plug of a team in the AAC and play very well on the road. This all highlights the Bulldogs’ non-conference schedule in the early portion and doesn’t even mention a trip to Fayetteville and a game against Arkansas in late November.

Louisiana Tech opens CUSA play against FIU and has midweek games against Middle Tennessee State and New Mexico State within five days of one another in mid-October. They’ll finish the midweek slate against UTEP and Sam Houston before welcoming Jacksonville State at home.
The game against Arkansas is just before a tough road trip to WKU and this season’s tough schedule ends with an unknown against Kennesaw State in their first year at the FBS level.
The 20th annual Conference USA Championship Game will feature the top two finishers in conference play and is set to be played on Friday, December 6. CBS Sports Network will broadcast the CUSA Championship Game.
