Jordan Seaton Transfer Portal Battle Far From Over As Analyst Brings Up IMG Recruitment Past

Jordan Seaton is probably the No. 1 offensive lineman available in the transfer portal after his season with the Colorado Buffaloes under Deion Sanders. Several schools, including the Oregon Ducks, the LSU Tigers, the Miami Hurricanes and the Mississippi State are all pushing hard for his recruitment. However, considering Seaton’s history, one must expect the unexpected from him.

In his latest report on Seaton, SI’s Bri Amaranthus brought up his recruitment past out of IMG Academy (Florida). The five-star tackle was rated as one of the top tackles in the nation, landing numerous Power Five offers. He released six finalists where he might go, including Alabama, Florida, Maryland, Ohio State, Oregon and Tennessee. However, the offensive lineman surprised everyone with his Colorado decision which wasn’t even part of his finalist list in the first place.

With such a recruitment past story, Amaranthus noted that even though LSU is predicted to land the offensive tackle, Seaton’s transfer portal chase is far from over.

“Seaton is comfortable letting a recruitment breathe, and he doesn’t feel bound by public timelines or expectations,” the SI analyst wrote. “That context matters now. If that experience taught anything, it’s that his transfer portal recruitment was never likely to be quick, or predictable… regardless of who appears to be leading at any given moment.”

LSU Predicted to Land Jordan Seaton

On3 analyst Shea Dixon predicted Jordan Seaton will commit to the LSU Tigers out of the transfer portal. The report came after the fact that Seaton extended his stay in Baton Rouge and scrapped his official visit to Eugene. LSU hosted Seaton for an official visit, giving him an in-depth look at the program and facilities.

Though he skipped to visit Oregon, head coach Dan Lanning hasn’t reduce their efforts in signing the offensive tackle.

Oregon is an intriguing landing spot for Seaton. The tackles reacted when quarterback Dante Moore decided to stay with the program for the 2026 season.

“Wait Dante Moore Cameback?” Seaton wrote on X.

With two seasons of eligibility remaining, Seaton’s draft upside at the moment see him getting drafted in the first round of the 2027 NFL draft.
