“It Was A Bad Look”: Analyst Gets 100% Real On Arch Manning Criticism Over Viral Overthrow Video

Arch Manning was one of the most talked-about quarterbacks throughout last season and remains so as the 2026 college football season approaches.

Everything Manning does goes viral, whether it’s his family photos or clips from training camp.

A video of Arch’s appearance at the Manning Passing Academy has gone viral, showing him overthrowing a receiver on an 18-yard out route.
Calling out the criticism that came Arch’s way, analyst J.D. PicKell said on June 29, 2026:

“Now, it sucks, you want to miss as few throws as possible, especially now when it’s routes on air, especially now when it looks like not even a 10-ft tall wide receiver can go catch that one for you, Arch. Still, let’s all calm down for a second here. Yes, it was a bad look. Yes, it was a bad throw. Yes, it was a bad rep. I promise you, Arch Manning was not the only one to have a rep like that.
“Touch grass. If this is the evidence you’re holding up and saying this is why this guy sucks, he’s overrated, chill out. We’re not even wearing helmets and shoulder pads. I mean, we’re talking about this in the month of June.
“We got a couple more months here before we get to week one of the college football season. And I hate that, just like you do, that we’re that far away, but the thing with Arch Manning is he’s still going to have some time now to get better.”

Peyton Manning Makes Thoughts Clear On His Pick Between Arch Manning’s Texas and Tennessee

In an interview during the Manning Passing Academy festivities, a reporter asked Peyton Manning about which side he would be on when Arch Manning’s Texas meets Tennessee in Knoxville in September.

The former Super Bowl champ then shared a story about how one of his kids asked him the same question, and shared that while his child thought the Volunteer legend would pick his alma mater, the reality was different.

“I went, ‘Well, you and I are different. You and I are wired differently.’ Nothing’s more important than your family,” Peyton said.

Peyton added that while he loves his University and pulls for them unconditionally, nothing is more important to him than his family, and said that he pulls very hard for his nephew, Arch, every single Saturday.
