Deion Sanders will have a lot of eyes on himself in the 2026 college football season after the 2025 season turned out to be a disappointing one as the Buffaloes ended the year with an overall record of 3-9.
In this year’s offseason, Colorado has lost many key players as well, including Jordan Seaton, who was the program’s highest recruited player at the time of his joining.
Despite the rocky recruitment journey so far, Coach Prime has finally gained some momentum, especially with 4-star OT Li’Marcus Jones’ commitment to Colorado.
Jones is a 6’6″, 285-pound OT who chose the Buffaloes over Mississippi State and Purdue as he believed Colorado was the place where he would turn into the best version of himself.
“Deion is a dead man walking lol we’ll be anticipating that decommitment post.” One fan reacted.
“Terrible decision why would you ever wanna play for Deion Sanders😂😂😂.” Another fan questioned.
“Poor guy is unserious about football and his future.” Another fan shared their blunt thoughts.
“Poor guy must not have heard of Jordan Seaton.” Another fan conspired.
“He’s gonna transfer in 2 years.” Another fan predicted.
“purdue was the better option.” Another fan commented.
Deion Sanders Jr. Drops Cryptic Comment on Bonding With New Colorado Roster
The first couple of years after Deion Sanders took over Colorado were something else; even with the Buffaloes ending the year with an overall record of 4-8, the team was getting a lot of love from the fans and various celebrities.
In a recent podcast appearance, Deion Sanders Jr. also opened up about how the first two years at Colorado felt like one big family with players like Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, and Jimmy Horn Jr. on the roster.
While their 2nd year was a successful one with an overall record of 9-3, the 2025 season was the worst of them all.
Talking about how things changed over the years, Deion Sanders Jr. said:
“Like everybody was legit characters, and it was like a big-a** family. Yeah, even the first year when we were getting our heads beaten, and last year too, but even the first year when our heads were getting beaten, we still had Shedeur Sanders and Jimmy Horn. You still had Travis Hunter, so it was still close games. I don’t know, I miss them some days.”
The host then replied to Bucky’s statement and said he’s sure he misses Shedeur, Travis, and Jimmy Horn Jr. in more ways than one.
