The 2026 LIV Golf Adelaide event will take place at The Grange Golf Club. It is a private golf course located in Adelaide, South Australia. It was designed by Greg Norman Golf Course Design.
The venue is among the country’s best and was ranked number 40 in Australia Golf Digest’s Top 100 golf courses in 2014.
LIV Golf kicked off its season last week in Riyadh. The Adelaide event is the second event of the season and features a strong field. Last year at the event, Joaquin Niemann registered a three-stroke win. Carlos Ortiz and Abraham Ancer were tied for second place.
Niemann will return to defend his title in 2026. The 2026 LIV Golf Adelaide will kick off with its opening round on February 12. It is a four-day event and will have its finale on February 15.
Notably, ahead of the start of the 2026 season, the Saudi league has changed its format from a 54-hole to a 72-hole stroke-play format.
Meanwhile, last week at the LIV Golf Riyadh event, Elvis Smylie impressed with his game and registered a win. He will be playing this week in the Adelaide event as well. Ahead of this week’s event, the LIV golfers attended a press conference on Tuesday and talked about the league. Smylie shared his excitement to compete on his home soil.
“It’s been a whirlwind of a 48 hours,” he said. “It’s been a quick turnaround since Riyadh. As soon as that final putt went in on the Saturday, we pretty much had to get ready, get on the charter and get here. I had a bit of time to reflect on the plane. I’ve had so many wonderful messages from friends and family, and it’s great to be home.”
The LIV Golf Adelaide event features a 57-player field. It includes 13 teams of four players each and five wildcard players. Notably, Phil Mickelson is missing from this week’s field and has been replaced by Wade Ormsby.
