Vijay Singh proved his critics wrong at the Sony Open in Hawaii after making the cut. The veteran golfer entered the weekend after firing 68 and 70 in the two rounds.
Vijay Singh is a 34-time winner on the PGA Tour but hasn’t won a title in eighteen years. Besides, his last cut at the non-major event was over five years ago. Amid all this, the 62-year old legend entered the season opener using the career money eligibility exception.
However, Singh proved everyone wrong after finishing at 2-under after two rounds. Following his second round, he took a cheeky dig at his critics on Instagram.
“When they say 62 is too old to compete with the kids 😮💨 Let’s get the weekend rolling at Sony Open in Hawaii,” he wrote.
