Vijay Singh shared a heartfelt message praising his physiotherapist after his impressive game at the 2026 Sony Open in Hawaii. The Fijian golfer teed it up this week in the season-opening PGA Tour event and made the cut after two rounds. He was also impressive in the third round and carded a 68 to settle in a tie for 32nd place.
On Saturday, he shared a picture with his physiotherapist on his Instagram account and, in the caption, expressed his “gratitude” to “Dr. Yass” for helping him recover from his “back, ankle, and knee issues.”
”I owe a huge amount of gratitude to @theyassmethod for helping me to recover from my back, ankle and knee issues that I had last year. It was tough to get through most rounds, and I’m proud of the work we’ve done to get me competition ready in such a short timeframe,” he wrote.
“Since I started working with him in November, I can see the transformation of my mobility into the results you’ve watched this week. Here’s to continued heath and competing at the highest levels,” he added.
Vijay Singh became the oldest golfer to make the cut on the PGA Tour since Fred Couples in 2023. The cutline for this week’s event was 1-under, and Singh settled with a score of 2-under after Friday’s round. The tournament is heading for its finale, scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 18.
