Valspar Championship 2026 is set to tee off to sunny weather on Thursday, March 19 at the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Golf and Spa Resort in Palm Harbor. The non-signature, last of the PGA Tour’s Florida Swing this season, will see 135 players competing over the weekend for the $9.1 million purse on offer.
Opening day of the competition is expected to have favorable conditions for play, with minimal weather interference. First round of the Tampa Bay area competition will tee off on Thursday with sunny intervals with a gentle breeze, according to Accuweather and the PGA Tour. The day temperature is expected to reach a high of 74°F and low of 52°F. Meanwhile, the course is expected to have winds traveling at approximately 15 mph from the North East, with slightly stronger gusts later in the day.
There is little to no rain expected with three per cent of precipitation, thus clearing good visibility for the players. The Copperhead Course is expected to be slightly dry with 54 per cent humidity through the day. According to the weekend forecast, players should ideally remain mindful only of wind direction. However, there is no prediction of weather causing stoppage of play.
It is pertinent to note that similar conditions are expected during round two on Friday. The wind speed and outdoor humidity are expected to go lower for the second round. Players can expect clear skies throughout the event as the gusts are expected to increase in strength over the nights.
