Tiger Woods Give Yet Recovery Update As TGL Future Remains in Doubt
    Tiger Woods
Tiger Woods provided an update on his recovery at the TGL game. The American golfer has been away from the field for over a year now. He last competed in an official PGA Tour event at the Open Championship in 2024.
Woods underwent lumbar disc replacement surgery in October 2025 and has since been focused on his recovery. This week, his team, Jupiter Links GC, played in a game against Atlanta Drive GC.
Although he did not play in the game, he was there to cheer for his team and also attended the postgame press conference. The 15-time major winner was asked by the media about his recovery and also his potential return. In response, he said:

“Playing here? I don’t know. I like watching these guys. As far as competitive golf, it’s still some time.”

Tiger Woods turned 50 in December 2025 and is now also eligible to play on the PGA Tour Champions. Meanwhile, last season, although Woods did not play in any official tournaments, he played in the TGL series.
The second season of the tech-infused series started in December 2025, and so far his Jupiter Links Golf Club has played three games. His team started the season playing New York GC but lost the game and then lost again against Los Angeles GC on Jan. 20. On Monday, they finally had their first win by defeating Atlanta Drive GC 8-6.
Next, Jupiter Links will play against Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common GC on March 1, and it would be interesting to see if Woods will return to play in the game.

Tiger Woods opens up about Brooks Koepka joining TGL

Five-time major winner Brooks Koepka left LIV Golf and rejoined the PGA Tour last month. In the post-round press conference on Monday, Tiger Woods was asked if Koepka would be part of his Jupiter Links Golf Club in the TGL series. In response, Woods said:

“I don’t know that part yet. Brooks just got his feet wet being back on our TOUR again at Torrey, and he’s playing Waste Management this week. We’ve got one new team next year, and should have two. I don’t know when it’s going to be sewn up or not. But who knows.

“If Brooks is going to be on a team or not on a team, but we have a great team here. My boys here, we’ve had so much fun going back and forth, and these group texts are just awesome,” he added.

Tiger Woods competed in five tournaments in 2024, but back then, he struggled with his game and missed the cut in three of them. He withdrew from the Genesis Invitational and settled in 60th place at the Masters. It would be interesting to see when fans will get to see Woods back on the greens.
